Barack Obama Nationality

The ‘Barack Obama nationality’ question was the subject of much speculation during the run-up to the 2008 Presidential election. This was fueled by the fact that although Barack Hussein Obama had a US citizen in his mother, he had a Kenya national in his father.

The question therefore, was whether Barack Obama’s nationality, not clear to many a voter at the time, permitted him to contest the presidential election, as well as whether the then unclear status of Barack Obama nationality afforded him the privilege to become President.
As per the Constitution of the United States of America, only a natural-born citizen of U.S. can become President. The question of Obama’s actual birth in Hawaii – the 50th state of the U.S., – is still questioned by a sizeable majority of U.S. citizens and people throughout the world. Without unrefutable proof to counter the strong points that question his true nationality, the debate about the Barack Obama nationality might never be set to rest.
